My exploration of dream states from psychological, physiological, and artistic perspectives is as fascinating as it is complex. I am both blessed and cursed with the inability to create mental images and sleep-related hallucinations, a unique combination that makes my pursuit of this interest challenging yet rewarding.
Despite my inability to visualize mental images, I have spent 78 years constructing an internal visual world. This world is not built from personal visual experiences but from the images I have encountered in art, literature, and video. I can only think about it, not see it, making it a complex and often confusing realm.
I am aware that in my attempt to depict these dream states, I may be portraying experiences that are not my own. However, I see this as an integral part of the creative process. Through this exploration, I can delve into the unknown, push the boundaries of my understanding, and create something truly unique.
I understand that others may find my perspective challenging. Yet, I hope that through my work, others may glimpse the fascinating world of dream states and, perhaps, gain a deeper understanding of their internal visual worlds.
In conclusion, my exploration of dream states, despite the challenges posed by my unique mental conditions, is a testament to my passion for understanding and expressing complex psychological and artistic concepts. I am committed to this pursuit, embracing the challenges and potential misunderstandings that may arise along the way.
